Question 1

Why Stacked Pilot?

Accepted Answer

There are a thousand ways to automate a business — and honestly, that's the problem. It's easy to get lost chasing shiny tools and end up with a tangled mess of workflows doing the job of one simple system. At Stacked Pilot, we start with what your business actually needs, then build the leanest, smartest, most scalable path to get you there — nothing bloated, nothing overpriced, just automation that works exactly the way it should.

Question 2

Can I just use AI myself instead of hiring Stacked Pilot?

Accepted Answer

You absolutely can. Similarly, you can also rewire your own electrical panel and AI can show you how. But there's a difference between flipping a switch and knowing why the whole system trips when you add one more load. Anyone can wire up a prompt. Keeping it running clean, catching the failure before it costs you a client, knowing which connection is about to spark — that's the part that doesn't come from a tutorial. We're not selling you access to electricity. We are offering the electrician service.

Question 3

How much does it cost to build an AI agent for my website?

Accepted Answer

A custom AI webchat agent runs a one-time build fee of $2,530 to $5,200 depending on complexity, split 50% deposit to start and 50% at delivery, plus a $429 per month hosting subscription that keeps the agent live and covers monitoring, monthly support meetings, and live reporting. Simple agents such as FAQ-answering or basic lead capture fall at the lower end of the build fee; agents handling bookings, payments, or multi-system integrations cost more.

Question 4

What's the difference between an AI agent and a regular chatbot?

Accepted Answer

A regular chatbot follows a scripted decision tree — click a button, get a canned reply. A Stacked Pilot AI agent understands what a visitor is asking, can hold a real conversation, and can take action: book an appointment, check availability, capture a lead, or hand off to a human when needed. It's the difference between a phone tree and a receptionist.

Question 5

Can an AI webchat agent actually book appointments or take payments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our agents integrate directly with the scheduling, payment, and communication tools you already use, such as Square, Outlook, Google Maps, and RingCentral, so a visitor can book, pay, or get a quote right in the chat without a separate form or manual follow-up.

Question 6

Does the AI agent replace my staff?

Accepted Answer

No — it handles the repetitive, always-on front line, such as answering FAQs, qualifying leads, and booking first-touch appointments, so your staff spend their time on the calls and conversations that actually need a human.

Question 7

Can the agent handle SMS, email, and phone calls too, or just website chat?

Accepted Answer

It can handle all three. Website chat is the most visible piece, but the same automation layer can manage SMS follow-ups, email confirmations, and call-routing workflows — one system instead of three disconnected tools.

Question 8

How long does it take to build a custom AI agent?

Accepted Answer

Most AI agent builds move from spec to live system in a matter of weeks, not months. A straightforward FAQ or lead-capture agent is faster; one with bookings, payments, and multiple integrations takes longer. You'll get a clear timeline before the build starts.

Question 9

What ongoing costs are there after the AI agent is built?

Accepted Answer

Website-embedded agents require an active hosting subscription to stay live. That covers hosting, monitoring, and maintenance, with no separate charge unless you request new scope beyond what was originally built.

Question 10

Is my AI agent unique to my business, or a template?

Accepted Answer

Every agent is built around your specific business — your services, your booking flow, your tone. We don't drop in a generic chatbot script; we build the leanest system that fits how your business actually runs.

Question 11

How does pricing work?

Accepted Answer

There is a one-time build-out fee depending on complexity, split 50% deposit to start the buildout and 50% at delivery. We also offer a subscription model for hosting, maintenance, and consulting. Website agents require a hosting subscription.

Question 12

How does the build work?

Accepted Answer

Book a Discovery Call to go over your goals, details, and process. Once the deposit is made, we begin the buildout, request any access tokens or API keys and help you obtain them, build your solution, and test it to cover all possible scenarios. We document the buildout and process, then deliver with a presentation, documentation, and launch schedule.

Question 13

How much technical knowledge do I need?

Accepted Answer

You don't need any. You bring the business knowledge — what you need, what's broken, what's eating your time. We bring the technical execution.

Question 14

How long does a build take?

Accepted Answer

Most builds move from spec to live system in a matter of weeks, not months. Simple automations can be faster; more complex, multi-system builds take longer, and you'll know the timeline upfront.

Question 15

How involved do I need to be during the build?

Accepted Answer

Less than you'd think. We run point on the technical build. You tell us what you need at the start and confirm it works before we ship it — no sitting in on every step, no learning new software.

Question 16

How is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Sensitive data such as payments, customer consent, and personal information stays on the secure platforms you already trust, like Square, Outlook, and RingCentral. We build the automation layer around that data rather than becoming a single point of failure holding it all ourselves.

Question 17

What does onboarding actually look like?

Accepted Answer

A short discovery call, a clear spec you sign off on, then we build. You're not filling out a stack of paperwork or managing a project timeline — we run the process, you approve the milestones.

Question 18

What's included in the build vs. what costs extra?

Accepted Answer

Your proposal lays out exactly what's built, what's covered under hosting, and what would count as a new scope of work, so you know the shape of the cost before you sign anything.

Question 19

What kind of warranty or guarantee do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Every build comes with a post-launch window where fixes are on us, no questions asked. If something isn't working the way we scoped it, we make it right.

Question 20

What happens if I want to leave or switch providers?

Accepted Answer

You take your platforms with you because you already own them. What stays with us is the specific automation build, but we hand off clean documentation so any competent team can pick it up. Any services running on our hosted logic will terminate.

Question 21

Who owns the system once it's built?

Accepted Answer

You do, always. Anything that touches your customers directly, such as payments, consent, and communication, lives on platforms you own and control. What we host is the automation logic behind the scenes — the engine, not the storefront.
